SundayOUT! Street Festival
Equality wraps up its weeklong event with one of its most popular events: the SundayOut Street Festival. SundayOut features more than 100 artisans, food and beverage vendors, music and live performances.
Featuring more than 70 programs, parties and special events, the Equality Forum is a spirited week-long festival celebrating Philadelphia's international gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender civil rights forum.
Each year, the Equality Forum examines GLBT issues in one particular part of the world. This year, the forum will take a close look at national politics and an international focus of gays and lesbians in the Muslim world.
During the week-long event, participants can take a special look at the art of photographer Duane Michals. Titled “The Facts of Life,” Michals' exhibit features a wide range of work from his 40-year career, including politically driven works that explore issues faced by the gay community.
The forum will conclude with SundayOut! in Old City, featuring the city’s largest GLBT street festival, the annual Interfaith Service, events in National Historic Park and the closing parties at Triumph Brewing Company and Pure nightclub.
